The Associate Collections Representative is responsible for insurance premium collections. Positions in this function contact customers to determine reason for payment delinquency, negotiate and advise on collection of overdue bills and take appropriate action to recover overdue payments. Handling of unresolved inquiries / issues, and responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on collection practices. May work with outside legal counsel and / or outside agencies in more complex collection cases.

Our ideal candidate is an adept communicator Spanish speaking a plus; deadline oriented, and self-motivated, with excellent follow-up and customer service skills, be compassionate and understanding with patient's anxiety. Treat each patient the way you would want to be treated with empathy and respect.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Directly responsible for contacting patients regarding outstanding A / R for payments that are due Quest Diagnostics.
  • Responsible for analyzing and resolving billing problems in an effort to secure prompt insurance and patient payments to reduce Bad Debt out outstanding A / R.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and focus on tasks.
  • Ability to work additional hours when needed during peak times for the department.
  • Need to be flexible as hours of operation may change.
  • Limited work experience.
  • Works on simple tasks using established procedures.
  • Depends on others for guidance.
  • Work is typically reviewed by others.
