A position within Pfizer Global Supply Quality Operations providing GMP compliant support for SQL*LIMS and/or gLIMS (Labware LIMS). The applicant must have awareness of cGMPs and good documentation practices. There must be demonstrated experience with compliance to procedures.


The Associate Computer Application Specialist will:

+ Process requests to build or update LIMS Master Data objects.

+ Execute test scripts to support validation of LIMS Master Data for new and updated MD builds.

+ Provide support for LIMS application (SQL*LIMS and/or gLIMS), including coordinating and notifying stakeholders of all system maintenance work.

+ Perform periodic review for the LIMS system and other computer systems, as needed.

+ Investigate and troubleshoot LIMS system issues and make recommendations for improvements.

+ Participate and contribute in group discussions to evaluate and recommend improvements to the gLIMS support processes, and other applications, as appropriate

+ Other potential responsibilities could include:

+ Contributing to ERES assessments for new or existing computer applications.

+ Preparing/Creating/Validating new or updated validated spreadsheets.

+ Providing administrative support for import/export documentation


+ Bachelor's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar technical field with 0-5 years of related experience or equivalent LIMS related work experience.

+ Experience with Labware LIMS, SQL*LIMS, MS Word, MS Excel, QTS and PDOCS as well as a demonstrated ability to learn and master new applications software is desired

+ Familiarity with GMPs and applicable regulations, guidelines (e.g. CFR, EMA and ICH publications) and standard operating procedures

+ Ability to complete daily or weekly assignments on time and to a high quality standard

+ Strong written and oral communication skills

+ Ability to work under general supervision to contribute effectively in a team environment with colleagues of diverse backgrounds

+ Ability to commit to the Pfizer Values & work in a regulated environment


Communicates regularly with peers and managers within department to identify requirements and convey pertinent information about responsibilities.

Works on teams depending on the need for the projects. Participates in team meetings contributing experiences and ideas for Work Team-related needs, tasks and deliverables.

Communicates regularly with team leader providing as required updates on project-related items.

Communicates regularly with customers on system/deliverable status. Assists customers with system troubleshooting.
