The Enterprise Performance (EP) group is a small team of consulting professionals in the UnitedHealth Group Enterprise Operations organization, dedicated to driving improved performance and leading change across all UnitedHealth Group's business segments in an objective, provocative, and accountable way.
EP partners with executives and their teams on select engagements to drive meaningful change. Projects focus across a range of our client’s most pressing issues, including business model transformation, affordability, service improvement, new services and products, payment integrity, and regulatory compliance. The team helps to resolve complex issues, identify new opportunities, and quickly drive results by applying strategic insight, intellectual honesty, and analytical structure coupled with consulting experience. The team brings substantial and diverse health care, strategic and operational consulting, business development and program management expertise to the table. These skills, when joined with the deep knowledge of the business provided by segment personnel, enable a comprehensive approach to supporting some of the organization's most critical change programs.
EP team members can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of topics and situations across multiple segments and business functions. EP typically places only one or two people in influential roles as part of larger teams, and occasionally asks individuals to work on two initiatives concurrently. The environment is challenging and fast-paced, requiring: flexibility in delivering against assigned tasks, ability to work in diverse segments, and occasional travel. Team members are expected to have a high level of energy, a passion for driving value and making a positive impact both within and beyond UnitedHealth Group, and have an ability to think in an innovative manner. Team members must be motivated by the fact that they will be measured by the demonstrable value delivered.
