Reporting to and partnering with the E&I Finance Director, the E&I Associate Finance Director will play a critical role in developing and implementing the business strategy. As a member of the finance team, the position will lead key financial administration, business planning, and budgeting associated with full P&L. The Associate Finance Director role will be an advisor, evaluating and assisting with financial plans and economic modeling. Positions in this function generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, SG&A, provider performance, product line profitability, membership, medical costs, premium yields, and other areas of business

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generating annual financial plans and quarterly forecasts, membership analysis and impact on revenue payments and medical trend, monthly analysis of medical expense results, premium yields, identifying trends, variances and potential performance opportunities and/or concerns at the market level
  • Partner with leaders to understand and control operating expenses, workforce productivity reviews and developing annual/quarterly FTE plans/forecasts
  • Lead development of business/financial case for specific initiatives or capital investments
  • Develop tools and processes to provide critical financial and operational information to Senior Management and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Engage with internal affiliates, business partners, outside consultants and investment committees
  • Oversee budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with company and segment strategic plan
  • Provide recommendations to Senior Management based on financial analysis and projections
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and evaluate new business opportunities
