The Associate Financial Analyst collects, reviews, analyzes and organizes financial information from potential physician practice acquisitions. This position also provides summary report of financial and operational information on the potential acquisition to development team.  

Essential Job Duties

  • Gathers necessary financial, operational and strategic information to value, structure and acquire physician practices.
  • Reviews financial statement information, volumes, payor mix, and reimbursement trends.
  • Normalizes financial information and structures compensation models for the physician providers that make business sense and are compliant with Stark II, Fraud & Abuse Statutes, among others.
  • Utilizes outside databases such as MGMA and AGMA to ensure proposed structures are reasonable and compliant.
  • Prepares power-point summaries of the work for presentations to senior management.
  • Conducts sensitivity analysis of suggested models as negotiations proceed.
  • Conducts due diligence reviews of physician practices and prepare appropriate power-point summaries of the work.


Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 1 - 3 years' experience.

  • One or more years in accounting, finance or financial analysis.  Experience performing due diligence is a plus. CPA and health care experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, as well as financial statement and basic valuation concepts and practices. 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, numerical facility and analytical abilities.
  • Required travel up to 25%.
