**ROLE SUMMARY**



The Associate Industrial Engineer position contributes to McPherson Sterile Injectable Operations by using data to find ways to improve performance and eliminate waste in production processes. The successful candidate will:







+ Assist in developing and maintaining engineering and production standards in SAP.



+ Be responsible for reviewing production system data and for providing feedback to operations to ensure consistant data collection.



+ Assist in producing periodic metrics from various data sources for the shop floor and operations management.







Assists in the annual budget process; working closely with senior team members to gather and organize data to be used to establish the basis for staffing models and product costing for finance and operations management.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Assist with maintaining Sterile Injectable Operations engineering and production standards; this includes helping senior team members process and prepare data and reports for the annual budget process for use with Finance and Operations Management.



+ Review and verify consistent and accurate data in various data collection methods.



+ Assist with generating periodic production metrics using various data collection methods; verify that metrics are produced accurately and convey shop floor conditions using Pfizer OEE definition.



+ Under guidance from senior team members, assess and analyze shop floor related data in order to provide supporting evidence to facilitate sound decisions for improvements and investments. Also assist with identifying and recommending specific areas for change to meet cost, quality, supply or new product goal.



+ Under guidance from senior team members; facilitate, educate and partner with production management and colleagues to lead a culture of standard work and continuous improvement efforts.



+ Contribute on improvement projects to deliver results in cost reduction, quality, supply or safety (IMEX, M-1's ect.).







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ BA/BS in technical discipline required, preferably Industrial Engineering



+ 0-2 years of experience



+ Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, particularly drug product production.







**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**







+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis. May require significant hours sitting and/or computer work from time to time.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**







+ Occasional support of off-shift operations, as required, by project or operational needs.



+ Will require occasional production floor gowning and direct production floor support.
