Prudential is seeking an Associate, Information Security to join their high performance team.

 

The Business Information Security Team for Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance and Prudential Advisors division is looking for talented individuals to help transform the life insurance industry. Our group works closely with our business teams, Corporate partners, Risk Management and Audit to ensure effective and practical information security policies, standards and processes are successfully operationalized across the business.  Candidates should possess the ability to research, understand, and analyze information security methodologies and practices while displaying technical skills in the areas of access controls and cybersecurity.  This job requires an emphasis on project management, analysis, innovative and creative thinking and the ability to react quickly to analysis by following an iterative test & learn approach. In this role you will be uniquely positioned to be on the forefront of strategically evolving the business information security program.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments
  • Assist in the review, development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques
  • Provide support to management in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products
  • Understand the relationship between Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies and security controls to remain in compliance with Company standards
  • Assist in implementing and addressing Access Control actions
  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Project Management skills
  • Self-motivated, independent worker; ability to be a team player
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude when working with complex issues
  • Ability to develop effective internal/external working relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and learn new technologies quickly
  • Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:  Active Directory, RACF, MS Office applications
  • Ability to influence others and help groups achieve consensus
