This Associate Manager of Planning & Analysis position in Expense Management is responsible for supporting expense management activities for Retirement’s Strategic Initiatives portfolio, as well as the shared service business functions including Marketing, Technology and other executive functions.
 
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Support the tracking and reporting of the portfolio of Strategic Initiatives to monitor project status and support cost/benefit analysis to help facilitate decisions by Senior Leadership; partner closely with the PMO and Technology organizations to ensure alignment on strategic portfolio.  Integrate initiative costs and benefits with the financial plan and forecasts.
  • Support the development of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts for the shared service business functions; provide consultative guidance on expenses to business partners within each of the areas.  
  • Create strong business partnerships while gaining a thorough understanding of the business being supported; leverage understanding of business to make informed recommendations
  • Produce actionable analytics and insightful financial metrics to facilitate transparency and drive cost efficiencies
  • Produce insightful monthly expense reports and analytics for business partners
  • Develop efficiencies around production and improve controls
  • Support ad hoc requests for financial information and implement efficiencies around production
  • Potential to participate on cross-department special projects

 

  • Undergraduate degree with a major in Finance or Accounting preferred, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience; CPA designation a plus
  • Customer focused with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to thoughtfully analyze data, assess and challenge results
  • Results oriented and attentive to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive and strong time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Excel and data mining skills
  • Working knowledge of Essbase, Oracle, Clarity, or similar systems is a plus
  • Discretion to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment
