Position Title: Associate Manager, Financial Reporting
Job Code: 412878
Job Location: Texas-El Paso
Description: Responsibilities may include one or more of the following financial accounting, regulatory reporting and or accounting standards policy. Produce timely, accurate and reliable financial information. Incumbent at this level is knowledgeable on the day to day activities of a product or process however will require input to resolve more complex issues. Individual may have oversight of a small team or a key process in addition to having full ownership for multiple processes, reports procedures or products. They are considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross function process or project deliverables. Individual at this level has a solid understanding of the businesses they support. Role typically has some industry experience.
  • College degree in Finance/Accounting/Business strongly preferred or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Investment Accounting (STAT) preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Cognos or similar reporting tool preferred
  • Knowledge of iRisk, PAM and Oracle General Ledger would be considered a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self motivated and proactive
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and drive process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and partnering skills
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver high quality results
  • An organized individual who is self-reliant, resourceful, and learns quickly
