Job Details

The Associate Medical Director will be responsible for supporting the Country MD role in all aspects of coordination and leadership of medical organization within Pfizer Israel. He/she is expected to manage IM medical resources as needed to achieve short and long-term brand objectives, have ability to develop strong collaborative and coordinated working relationships with medical and commercial country colleagues. The Associate Medical Director will play an important medical leadership role for the country organization. He/she must have advanced management and collaboration skills and be willing to actively partner with other functions to drive meaningful medical results.



The Associate Medical Director will be responsible for:



1 Review and approve medical procedural documents for all country medical groups as delegated by the CMD (e.g. GCMA review, ACM review, IIR and NIS management oversight)



2. Ensure compliance across all the medical groups in regard to the relevant policies, SOPs and local WIs



3. Assist the CMD to identify gaps of knowledge of the medical department and develop plans in order to mitigate the gaps



4. Support the implementation of medical policies



5. Participate in strategic planning process to provide insights, expertise and medical support to the business, together with the CMD



6. Evaluate new initiatives that can contribute to the medical department and to the entire organization



7. Support the CMD and the MQO with audit/Inspection preparation and CAPA implementation



8. Assist the CMD with the oversight and successful implementation of the annual country Medical Quality Plan



9. Establish productive relationships and partners inside the medical department and with other functions across the organization to ensure common understanding of objectives and achieve shared goals.



10. Assist in writing and updating local SOPs/WIs



11. Manage his/her direct reports (optional)



In addition - Associate Medical Director will:







+ Participate as a regular member of the Country Medical Council (CMC)



+ Act in the capacity of Medical Advisor for specific therapeutic area(s) (please refer to the MA JD)



+ Serve as a back-up for the CMD as necessary







**REQUIRED SKILL SET**



Medical Doctor, existing clinical practice preferred



Successful experience in project management



Industry experience is an advantage



Successful experience in a complex organization is an advantage



Strategic and innovative thinking



Excellent communication skills



Solution oriented and strong sense of urgency



Reliable, High ethical standards



Fluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)



Excellent PC skills
