Position Summary

As an Associate Inventory Planner, you are responsible for ensuring high in-stocks while maximizing inventory levels, a “win-win” for our customers and Walmart.com. Attention to detail and ability to ensure issue resolution is paramount to supporting key business initiatives in this fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.

Your daily activities will be focused on tracking purchase orders from creation to in-stock, adjusting purchase orders and working cross functionally to fix item issues resulting in Purchase Order failures.

 Drive system and process improvements based on data analysis in order to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, vendor fill rates and lead time
 Partner with vendors to implement process improvements, resulting in higher in-stock and fill rates
 Implement governance and financial controls for one-time buys

  • Assists in the development of and executes financial plans and forecasts for a merchandising category

  • Creates forecast parameters and modifications for a merchandise category

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

  • Executes financial strategies and achieves financial results for a merchandising category

  • Executes the placement and validation of orders within merchandise categories

  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
Detail oriented, extremely organized and strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL and Excel, including Macros, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables


Additional Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree ideally in a technical, business or analytical discipline
1-2 years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain or operations
