BioMedicine Design is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join the Molecular Design, Profiling and Production group. In this role the bench scientist will contribute towards the selection of high quality biotherapeutics using established biophysical and analytical techniques. This role offers opportunities for learning and development as well as broad portfolio impact.

The Associate Scientist will perform activities related to characterization of biotherapeutics such as antibodies, bispecifics, Fc-fusions, and other modalities. The scientist will extensively characterize proteins using a defined staged approach to molecular assessment. A suite of assays are in place designed to triage and de-select proteins that have poor stability and potential problems with developability.


+ Responsible for providing critical molecular assessment and biophysical supports to a wide range of biotherapeutics in the early discovery pipeline.

+ Perform an array of analytical and biophysical techniques including HPLC, DSC, DLS, iCE, cCGE and Anton-Paar rheology.


+ BA/BS with 0-2 years of experience within a pharmaceutical setting

+ Seeking scientist with experience in Anton Paar viscosity measurement, DSC, DLS, CGE, iCE and gel electrophoresis and Janus automation.

+ The position requires keen attention to detail (analytical-minded) and ability to multi-task efficiently

+ Ability to learn new techniques quickly and follow established protocols with precision

+ Perform tasks under close supervision with frequent review of results

+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
