Job Details

The candidate will be an essential member of the CTI-Cal Biology Group. He/she will use molecular biology and assay development knowledge to design and execute experiments to address aspects of basic and translational biology of drug targets, molecular pathways, and relevance to human disease. The candidate will assist with the evaluation, characterization and validation of the mechanism of action of antibody, protein and/or small molecule drug candidates. A variety of cellular, biochemical and pharmacological methods will be employed using human cell lines and primary cells to effectively translate innovative ideas into drugs.

The applicant will function as a member of multidisciplinary project teams. He/she will present results and recommendations at local project team and related meetings. The candidate will collaborate closely with other members of CTI-California, CTI and Pfizer scientists at other sites, and our academic partners to ensure meeting aggressive project deliverables, goals and timelines. The candidate is expected to embrace and embody the entrepreneurial spirit and biotech-like culture, values and goals of the CTI and contribute to creating an exciting, collaborative, productive and scientifically rigorous working environment.
