**ROLE SUMMARY:**



The Associate Statistician will work with manufacturing resources to support Statistical Process Control (SPC) system tracking defects. This person will work with internal resources to understand and meet customer requirements with regard to the design and workings of this system.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:**



Manage the SPC-based defect tracking and trending system in a pharmaceuticals manufacturing plant.



Interface daily with internal customers to meet their needs for data and analyses.



Run reports, perform ad-hoc analyses, data trending, and assist internal customers with the interpretation of those analyses.



Coordinates all work on scheduled projects (personnel activities, documentation and outside resources).



Responsible for organizing additional help for studies and/or runs.



May have technicians reporting to them.



May have to work 2nd or 3rd shift on occasion







**QUALIFICATIONS:**



At a minimum a bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics related field is required



Strong communication skills



1 to 3 years experience with datasets, data analysis and results interpretation preferred.



Pharmaceuticals and manufacturing experience area preferred.



Experience in teaching and coaching others in SPC methods is a plus.



Experience with Minitab a plus.







**Additional Job Description:**



PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS



Use computer terminal approximately 4 hours per shift, respond to visual warning indicators, respond to audible warning indicators, respond to color or special visual indicators, work around moving equipment, work with chemicals, wear specialized protective clothing ( type: lab coat, bunny suit), wear PPE (safety shoes/glasses/etc.), work in hot or cold environment, work in hearing conservation area, and special requirements related to assigned work area.
