Lawrence Community Services Assistant Director

The Assistant Director provides supervision to clinic staff while developing staff skills in responding to complex issues such as complexed family systems and trauma impacting youth and their families.

The Assistant Director will work with the site coordinator to oversee the multiple community based programs Community Services has to offer. This position would be 20 hours of admin and 20 hours of direct fees for service patient care providing In Home therapy and Home Based Outpatient Therapy.



  • Provide focused leadership, support and supervision for clinical staff within the team.
  • Provide administrative oversight of community services to ensure that services and documentation meet regulatory standards and excellence in care.
  • Demonstrate a proactive commitment to maintaining effective communication with staff and customers to facilitate and promote effective working relationships and customer service.
  • Provide on-call crisis support to staff and clients (about 4-5 weeks a year in rotation with other managers).
  • Ensure that clinical services are being delivered and documented in accordance with Arbor’s clinical philosophy and all licensing and regulatory bodies.
  • Attendance at regional level of care, system of care, and network management meetings as needed.
  • Provide and document supervision to clinicians, including clinical staff meetings for clinicians.
  • Monitor and review supervisees’ documentation to ensure clinical and compliance standards.
  • Provide feedback to the Site Coordinator and generate reports as necessary to maintain satisfactory compliance standards.
  • Provide feedback to supervisees regarding clinical and documentation practices.
  • Oversee assigned staffs documentation quality, help staff professionally develop and case process as well as productivity to ensure they are meeting program expectations.
  • Provide feedback to the Site Coordinator that assists in the planning and development of services that provide quality care to clients
  • Attends and actively participates in all supervisions and staff meetings.
  • Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
  • Overall management/oversight of Lawrence Community Services team in coordination with Arbour Lawrence Site Coordinator Ana Sanchez.


Job Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in related field and independent licensure (LMHC or LICSW)
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong computer knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
  • Outstanding reasoning and problem solving abilities.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and own an insured vehicle.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
