The Automotive & Connected Car Business Unit (BU) is seeking an extraordinary product leader for the role of Connected Car V2X Product Manager. The mission of the Automotive & Connected Car BU is to create an industry leading suite of products to enable the new era of connected and highly automated vehicles.  The Automotive & Connected Car V2X Product Manager will work in close collaboration with beachhead customers, Cisco Engineering, the Cisco Chief Technology and Architecture Office (CTAO), and other Cisco teams to envision, define, design, and bring to market connected car V2X solutions.

What You'll Do
This person must be able to scale up to high-level market and product strategy and scale down to detailed financial analysis, licensing, and SKU creation operations work. They will have ownership of the complete product lifecycle from PRD to EoS and everything in between, including market sensing and strategy alignment, forecasting, product requirements definition and ecosystem building, articulating and promoting the product portfolio value proposition, managing customer and partner expectations, cross-Cisco interlock, and more.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Scouting, foreseeing, concretizing, and evangelizing important new Connected Car V2X capabilities, technology trends, competitive landscape insights, and Cisco differentiation
  • Creating and evolving a roadmap for the V2X pieces of Cisco’s Automotive and Connected Car solution portfolio to leapfrog the market, drive competitive differentiation, and help propel Cisco to the number one position among providers of connected vehicle technology
  • Prioritizing features by release date to optimize market position, competitiveness, and return on development investment
  • Orchestrating all parties involved in the definition, design, and delivery of products
  • Creating Market Requirement Documents and Solution/Product Requirement Documents and tracking and tracing requirements through detailed design to testing and product delivery
  • Working with finance teams and product management teams on pricing
  • Operationalizing product offers, licensing, and SKUs
  • Forecasting and tracking revenue against forecast
  • Interlocking with Engineering to drive alignment on product delivery schedules
  • Interlocking with Marketing, Channels, and Sales to drive revenue growth
  • Evaluation of new candidate technologies and vendors and identification of potential new ecosystem partners
  • Overseeing participation in the most important standards organizations
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with beachhead customer business and technology leaders
  • Guiding development of POCs to prove and accelerate product definition
  • Guiding development of demos for marketing and sales support
  • Harvesting intellectual property key to the Automotive & Connected Car BU

Who You Are
The successful candidate for this position will bring to the Automotive & Connected Car BU knowledge of V2X technologies and solutions as well as strong leadership skills to unite and catalyze team members from across organizations operating in a highly fluid, iterative fashion at high speed in order to be first to market with game changing new automotive technology.

  • Ability to travel to customer, Cisco and partner sites, including international travel
  • Typically > 5 years product management and > 10 years technology solution design and/or implementation experience
  • BS in a technical field
  • Advanced technology and/or business degree a plus
