ROLE SUMMARY



Performs duties required in operating a variety of equipment used in his/her assigned area of the Division, maintaining responsibility for tasks as assigned. Dependent upon area of assignment. Operates automatic and manual chemical/Fermentation process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures and batch records. Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations. Processes generate high pressure and/or temperatures and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures.







ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



**Functional/Technical Knowledge:** Knowledge of basic discipline. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.



**Problem Solving and Innovation:** Develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures.



**Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence:** Closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions.



**Impact and Organizational Contribution:** Contributes to the completion of routine tasks.



**Teamwork/Influence:** Contacts are primarily within immediate work group or within normal process-related work flow.



**Time Span of Work:** Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on daily or weekly basis.







QUALIFICATIONS



Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) and one year related experience. Candidates with prior experience in a chemical or formulation manufacturing environment preferred and may differentiate candidates during the selection process.







5 day work schedule. Overtime, Holiday and weekend work as required.
