What You'll Do
You will lead select strategy, planning and operations initiatives for Cisco’s DC Global Sales Architecture team.   You will engage with sales account teams and DC specialists, business units, field channel teams, and cross-functional organizations to shape strategy, build & execute operational plans, and drive initiatives that translate into sales growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

This is a senior manager role with significant business impact potential and senior leadership visibility.   

*Manage a diverse set of strategic and operational initiatives for the DC global sales team

*Understand Cisco’s DC sales strategy, priorities, and go-to-market plans; enable the business via strategic initiatives

* Collaborate, build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Cisco, at all levels, to drive the DC business

* Lead cross-functional strategy & planning programs, growth initiatives, and provide subject matter expertise to sales leaders & stakeholders

*Drive operational excellence and accountability across all initiatives & programs

*Be a trusted advisor; provide critical thinking and influence, helping to link the strategic agenda to the resulting actionable plan.

* Lead & facilitate business planning processes, ensuring close interaction and collaboration with Sales orgs, Business Units, Regional Data Center teams and Account teams


Who You'll Work With

The Global DC Sales Strategy & Planning team focuses on driving growth, enhancing sales force productivity, and effectively running the business.   We drive strategy/planning, operations and enablement initiatives in support of Cisco’s multi-billion-dollar Data Center business.   Our strategy and operations responsibilities include fiscal year planning, new year readiness, new product introductions & sales incubation plans, opex management, forecasting, cross-functional alignment, sales coverage models, business intelligence, productivity analysis, compensation plans, sales incentives, competitive programs, sales acquisition integration, and sales tools & processes.   We also create & drive sales enablement programs (training, customer demand gen/deal acceleration workshops, field ambassador programs, communities of interest, etc.) to help Cisco account teams, DC specialists and other field organizations effectively sell the DC portfolio.

Reporting to the DC Sales Senior Director Strategy & Planning, this role will be responsible for driving initiatives focused on growth, sales effectiveness, and operational excellence with a primary focus on scaling the AppDynamics business via Cisco’s DC Sales organization.   The successful candidate will work closely with DC sales strategy & planning team members, DC sales leaders, AppD stakeholders, various worldwide sales teams, DC specialist teams, account teams, Business Units (engineering), marketing, channels, and other cross-functional organizations.


Who You Are
*
10+ years of sales strategy/planning or related experience;  

*Deep knowledge of Cisco’s sales function; familiar with Cisco's field sales organizations, processes, and go-to-market ... speak the language of the field.

* Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, building relationships and driving success in a matrixed environment

* Outstanding communications & influence skills, experience presenting & interfacing with stakeholders at all levels, and conducting executive conversations

*Must be comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment where you are empowered to make decisions and drive the business

* Proven experience translating strategy into operational plans and executing

* Strong program/project management skills; capable of taking a concept, building a plan and delivering successful outcomes
*Curious and flexible, you enjoy variety and are willing to take on different roles/responsibilities as business needs evolve
