Job Description

The Behavioral Health Community Liaison will serve in the health facility as a Business Development team member.  Representative will establish new and maintain long term business relationships with referral sources for the purposes of providing on-going customer service, increasing admissions from target markets and meeting system wide net revenue goals. 

Performs position specific job functions at an acceptable level.  Completes position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within appropriate time frames.  Develops and implement strategic referral account management plans that support facility programs.  Support sand emulates high customer service standards internally and externally.  Stays abreast of service charges and educate customer base.  Completes duties assigned in accordance with the systems wide strategic business development plan.  Establishes consistent and regular contact with potential referral sources.  Maintains and provides written documentation of account management activities.  Obtains and provides management with up to date information and changes in market and the competition.  Develops and participates in education forums within facility and within the community.   Participates in community mental health activities and forums promoting youth mental health.  Consistently develops new referral sources for education and awareness.  Manages time, territory, and schedule efficiently.  .  Sets appointments when possible which should account for 25% of calls.  Keeps call records and report call plans and outcomes as determined by Business Development Director.  Accurately communicates services, specializations, and core marketing messages to referral sources and communities.  Demonstrates sales skills in bringing value to customers, handling objections, and closing for the business.  Completes assignments and reports within specified amount of time.  Assists in development of departmental goals and objective and contribute to overall strategic business plan of hospital.  Assists in development of marketing plans, quarterly and seasonal.  Utilizes, reviews, and evaluates admissions and referral contact calls as available by system.  Utilizes system reports and tracking data tools to monitor referral development efforts, admissions by referral source and effectiveness and quality of service delivery.  Measures marketing efforts in terms of Return on Investments (ROI) of admissions and service inquiries.  Identifies new business opportunities.  Initiates and promotes customer service, problem solving and ensuring quality improvement.  Functions as team member in marketing decisions and projects.  Organizes educational events and exhibit services at mental health community events.  Supports and assists clinical staff in resolving community problems with referral sources.  Seeks feedback on admission processes and discharge planning from assigned accounts.  Contacts and maintains communication with referral sources through face to face visits, meetings, exhibits, presentations, email and phone calls.   Completes corporate HR requirements including report auto incidents within 48 hours.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

Skills, knowledge, and abilities: Good verbal and written skills.  Completion of a sales training program preferred.  Skills in public speaking and problem solution.  Excellent customer service skills.

 

Education/Training:

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in the marketing, business administration, hospital administration, psychology, social work, or related field.

     

    Licensure/Certification:

    Current Oklahoma Driver’s License (Required)

     

    Experience:

3+ years of healthcare marketing and sales experience in a related field.  Psychiatric health care marketing experience preferred.
