Description:

The BI/Data Management Associate Specialist will be the lead resource supporting two applications and providing technical support for a third. One application is a java based survey tool with both Web and Mobile components. Another is a Web/Excel based data collection tool, and the third is an in-house C+ based MDM tool.

  • Partner with multiple business groups to deliver agreed upon service levels, provide any bug fixes required, and develop minor enhancements as needed.
  • Maintain and develop code using .Net 4.0, C#, Java, JQuery Mobile, SQLite, PhoneGap, iOS, Android, SQLServer 2012, OfficeWriter, Apache POI, C+, Oracle and BOBJ.
  • Meet regularly with business partners to understand needs, anticipate and help define business needs.
  • Manage offshore contractor resources.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of work done by contractor resources ensuring that any changes or bug fixes are optimized for performance.
  • Identify and resolve complex mobile security issues.
  • Establish, and enforce application standards and best practices; advocate Enterprise data strategies and direction.
  • Develop teams' skills through training, coaching, and mentoring



Education:

  • 4 year college degree + 6 years working in an I/T Business Intelligence role.


Work Experience:

  • 2+ years managing contractors on and off shore.
  • 4+ year's providing application and process support
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical and functional issues impacting production
  • Prior experience leveraging with a Work Intake Process
  • Knowledge/background in Infrastructure (servers, setup, configuration) in order to troubleshoot operational issues


Skills and Capabilities:

  • 4+ years working with DB and application architecture
  • 4+ combined years of experience in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • 4+ years experience working with Java
  • 2+ years working with mobile technologies (Jquery, SQLite, PhoneGap)
  • Sense of urgency and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Self-motivated with proven track record of troubleshooting complex problems


Nice to Haves:

  • Prior experience with Apache Webserver
  • Prior experience with Apache POI
  • Prior experience with OfficeWriter
  • Project Methodology /System Development Life Cycle experience
