Job Description

First Home Care has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the Tidewater, VA area:

The potential candidate will conduct the following duties:

The BCBA serves as a clinical supervisor as outlined by the BACB, Board of Medicine and DMAS regulations. The BCBA/LBA serves as a supervisor for children/adolescents, parents and caregivers, any outside agencies and school personnel and contributes to formulation and implementation of the treatment plan and monitors it for effectiveness and generalization.

  • The BCBA provides individualized services to include teaching daily living skills and enhancing social and interpersonal skills, while decreasing maladaptive behaviors by teaching replacement behaviors that serve the same function.
  • The BCBA travels throughout the community to provide supervision in the home and community.
  • Evaluates each client for programming and appropriateness of placement in the program.
  • Gathers behavioral data necessary for the Clinical Director to evaluate the effectiveness of the behavioral plan.
  • Communicates effectively with community agency representatives.
  • Provides and documents clinical supervision to Behavioral Therapy Clinicians as outlined by Virginia Board of Medicine and EPSDT Regulations
  • Completes required documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Provides training to family members, caregivers, and other service providers.
  • Attends in-service trainings as required by the Director and the organization. Maintains current certifications as required by the position.
Job Requirements

Graduate degree in behavior analysis, education or psychology

Actively credentialed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst as well as licensed or license eligible by the Virginia Board of Medicine
