Job Description

Laurel Heights Hospital is seeking a BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA). Requirements include: Fully Certified and Master Degree required. Education or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Autism. Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar setting working with developmentally disabled and/or behaviorally disordered children and adolescents. Demonstrate understanding and the ability to apply principles and techniques of ABA and provide direction to other staff in their implementation. Ability to manage a treatment milieu, including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling activities and work assignments.  Employee must have a valid Georgia’s Driver’s License. EOE.

 

Job Requirements

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) with Master Degree. Education or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Autism. Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar setting working with developmentally disabled and/or behaviorally disordered children and adolescents. Demonstrate understanding and the ability to apply principles and techniques of ABA and provide direction to other staff in their implementation. Ability to manage a treatment milieu, including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling activities and work assignments.  Acceptable oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting; ability to maintain information as highly confidential; telephone etiquette and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face; familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred; skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization; skills in prioritizing and in managing time; problem-solving skills; use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients; empathy toward children and adolescents; basic knowledge of child growth and development preferred; experience working with children with autism; skill in following behavioral plans necessary; able to respond to children/adolescents in a consistent and caring manner, consistent in maintaining professional boundaries; willingness to seek supervision in this regard necessary.  Employee must have a valid Georgia’s Driver’s License.
