Job Details

The **BQ Lab Analyst** performs analyses following specified instructions from supervisor, SOP's, and analytical procedures. Reports testing results in computerized systems or standard laboratory paper-based documentation. Calculate, reports and compares results to specification limits. Informs supervision immediately if lab results do not meet specifications.

Primary job function will be preparing and inspecting laboratory samples for visible particulates. Complete all testing including special project/ protocol testing in a timely and appropriate manner, while adhering to cGMPs. Generates valid data and reports results in appropriate database. Compares laboratory results to established specifications for acceptability and determines if an OOS result has been generated. Participates in functions involving teams which impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality. Ensures safety, housekeeping, and compliance are maintained. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

+ Bachelor Degree with 0-1 year experience in a laboratory environment. Bachelor degree Biology or related science degree preferred.

+ Great observational skills.

+ Demonstrate ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including metric system conversions, multiplication and decimal/percentage calculations.

+ Must be able to temporarily adjust shifts to meet business needs.

+ Must be able to work independently or in a team environment.

Maintain certification in the assigned area and complete training, written exams, and proficiency exams within time guidelines.

Repetitive hand movements involving manipulations of filled containers. Near vision visual acuity required for examination of laboratory samples. Use computer terminal 2 hours per shift, work with chemicals, work with biological materials, wear PPE (safety shoes/glasses, etc.), work with lasers, work with potent drug powders. Standing up to 3-4 hours, sitting for up to 5-6 hours, twisting at waist multiple times per hour, regularly lift up to 10 pounds per activity 10 times per shift, occasionally lift a maximum of 50 pounds per activity 2 times per shift.

Ability to use a calculator. Ability to proficiently enter computerized data. Must have the ability to work with simple scientific equipment, such as ph meters, balances, dispensing apparatuses.
