What you'll Do

Come join a well-adjusted team of top-notch professionals: Cisco Human Resources is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Transformation Planning and Analysis team. This role involves supporting service improvement projects in all parts of Human Resources. Primary tasks include gathering and documenting business requirement and executing process improvements. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, can be productive working alone or with a team, is a fast learner, possesses sharp analytical skills, and most of all good common-sense judgment. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop cross functional working relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large hi-tech enterprise and be knowledgeable of both waterfall and agile implementation methodologies.

Role Skills Required:
* The ability to elicit business requirements from Subject Matter Experts (subject matter expert) and translate and document them on functional specification documents or Agile user storyboards. Able to accurately understand customer's business processes and diagram them into process flow charts
* Extract, process, analyze and present data and/or metrics gathered from an incident, problem and other service management tools to establish baseline measurements and/or current state of the incident. Have the ability to establish a methodology or model to track improvement efforts for increased service level satisfaction
* Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an enterprise and cross functionally with our business partners
* Ability to establish productive, cross-functional relationships throughout the organization. Have the capability to facilitate meetings remotely and in person with all levels of management, both externally (vendors) and internally. Ability to manage stakeholders and when necessary resolve conflicts.
* Experienced in working on Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms and HR related downstream systems/applications and interfaces. Knowledgeable with system or data architecture is a plus
* Intimate knowledge around the Product Life Cycle model and the various phases required to have a successful implementation - functional/technical spec completion, Q/A, Unit Testing, Business Validation Testing, bug submittal and retest, Release and post release support
* Experience facilitating a business system test cycle. Creating functional test scripts, data staging (when applicable), documenting/submitting system bugs and ongoing testing metrics. Must have experience in coordinating and leading business testers to conduct and meet testing deadlines
* Must have desire to share expertise, information and knowledge with fellow colleagues. Show resourcefulness and leverages team members across the organization when their expertise is required in a given project
* Experience with Change and Release Management processes

Education and Experience:
* BA or BS degree in Human Resources discipline and/or Business Administration is preferred
* 3 to 6 years of experience as a Business or Data Analyst
* Working knowledge on Oracle HCM platform (E-Business Suite) is preferred; experience in other Oracle based modules such as Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and GAM (Global Absence Management) is a plus. Ability to do Oracle configurations is also a plus but not required
* Office tools such as MS Office and Visio or equivalent is required; Rally knowledge (to create Agile based storyboards) is a plus
