Description:

The Group Insurance division of Prudential Financial is seeking a Project Manager, Business Measures for its Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) that will provide the qualified candidate with an excellent opportunity to learn many facets of the Group Insurance business and exposure to several levels of leadership and Group Insurance business units.

  

 

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and completing reporting requests from the GI Distribution or Product teams, often under tight deadlines.  This will require the accessing of employee specific and company level data, often from an external data source, and compiling this information into a concise package for delivery to the sales team directly.  Additional responsibilities include quarterly coordination of a key reporting package to an external partner in which meeting delivery dates is imperative. The manager’s success will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables, which often require short turnaround and prioritization of responsibilities.    

 

In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop / engage with peers and partners on process improvement strategies to improve work flow and data quality in the BIU.  This entails potential Access database work as well as Tableau development across the BIU team.  The successful candidate will possess a technical acumen in these software tools as well as in Excel and SQL.      

 

 

 

The job will be located in Roseland, New Jersey, Dresher PA, or Portland, Maine.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Key Responsibilities include:

 

 

·       Develop and/or integrate with a repeatable reporting process which allows for volume production of customer specific reporting.

 

 

·         Management of BIU Mailbox which receives report requests from Distribution and prioritize work flow based on the customer need. 

 

 

·       Developing an understanding of a plan’s intricacies and the impact that design has on performance and employee behavior.  

 

 

·         Maintain and coordinate quarterly process for a key external business partner.

 

 

·         Engage with BIU team members on an as needed basis on development opportunities within Access or Tableau while balancing above responsibilities.

 

 

  

Successful candidates will have the following:

 

 

 Qualifications

 

 ·        Bachelor degree or relevant years of work experience.

 

 

·        Proven track record of collaboration and individual contribution.

 

 

·        Demonstrated ability to synthesize data.

 

 

·        Proven experience in reporting coupled with solid knowledge of the employee benefits industry.

 

 

·        Advanced Excel and Access, PowerPoint and SQL capable, Tableau experience.

 

 

·        Detail oriented and well organized

 

 

·         Group Insurance Under Writing background a plus.
