Compensation System Administration & Process Service Delivery Functions


The Program Management Team (PMT) within Corporate Compensation is responsible for the implementation and management of large, high risk and complex compensation processes and systems.  PMT’s COMP (Compensation Online Management and Planning) System Administration and Process Service Delivery functions are responsible for the service delivery of year-round and annual compensation processes inclusive of process and COMP system administration (configuration, security, quality assurance testing, end user support, and report design and delivery).  Within these functions an opportunity exists for a Business Analyst.


This position provides business analysis, data analysis and process management support for various cash and equity based compensation plans and processes.  The ideal candidate should have a deep analytic background, broad project experience, and strong written and oral communication skills.  The incumbent must be able to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment where the ability to work autonomously is critical.  Equally important is flexibility and partnering to effectively contribute to team projects and/or provide assistance and coverage to teammates as workload dictates.  Strong relationships with those viewed as teammates, customers, service providers, and vendor partners are necessary to ensure successful delivery of services and support.  This position will report to the Vice President of Compensation responsible for the COMP System Administration and COMP Process Service Delivery teams.


Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide annual and year-round compensation  process, system and reporting support (i.e., annual process project coordination, calendars, communications, testing, education, COMP user support model SME, requirements gathering, report writing, basic configuration and coordinating and/or execution of user acceptance testing)
  • Lead/assist in business analysis efforts.  Translate the customer process and reporting needs into functional specifications that are leveraged to design/build reports that are critical to the success of our business partners.  Assist in gathering, analysis and documentation of business requirements; partner with various technology teams to translate business needs into system design; write and provide quality review of functional specifications for systems development
  • Coordinate / support executive recommendation / binders process
  • Provide cycle preparation and production support for the COMP technology application during the annual compensation process
  • Lead / assist in the testing space for related system and report testing to validate technical solution meets business needs (build test plan, write test scripts, data mining test cases and manage defect resolution)  
  • Lead/assist troubleshooting for system, process & reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, reconciliations, recommend corrective action and support resolution efforts conducting tests, evaluating and documenting results 
  • Support creation and delivery of compensation related end user communication and training materials
  • Support upkeep and maintenance of business requirements, process and standard operating procedures documentation 
  • Partner with Central Security Services (CSS) to help support department and project initiatives
  •  Assist in impact analysis of existing and inter-dependent compensation processes resulting from HR policy changes or process improvement efforts 
  • Identify and assist with Compensation processes streamline and simplification efforts
  • Represent the needs of Compensation department in enterprise technology cyclical upgrades, as well as cross-company HR systems, data and operations projects



  • 1-3 years experience in business analysis, data analysis, process support and implementation of system solutions – experience in business requirements gathering and documentation is a plus
  • Experience with a corporate compensation role and/or various HRIS reporting roles is a plus
  • Highly motivated & action oriented individual

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data and create summary materials to be shared with management team

  • Proven ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities and to prioritize the day-to-day responsibilities and project related tasks
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and a solid knowledge of the other office suite tools (Access, Word PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with HR applications and compensation systems is a plus (e.g.,, PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM, Cognos reporting or similar report writing tools)
