What You’ll Do

Cisco's vision is to transform the way the world lives, learns, works and plays. As part of the Cisco Digitization Office, you will join the Go-To-Market Acceleration team that is driving a transformation across Cisco to improve the company’s ability to deliver solutions built on intelligent networks to tackle customer challenges. The team partners with the sales, products and data analytics organizations to recommend a roadmap and strategy to the sales team based on customer capabilities.

Who You’ll Work With

The Go-To-Market Acceleration team is looking for a Business Architect to join in the development of an evolutionary customer capability maturity model. This Business Architect will become a member of the team responsible for building the framework and tool, recommending efficient sales motions for Cisco sellers based on portfolio mapping and business logic through automation of the customer’s maturity assessment. The position will require collaboration with Systems Engineers, Product Managers, and Data Analysts to map cross-architecture customer capabilities to detailed product configurations, customer initiatives, and sales priorities.

Who You Are

Are you are a successful Systems Engineer, either individual contributor or manager, looking for the next challenge in your career and the opportunity to be a part our digital transformation strategy? Do you have strong business and technical expertise across Cisco's Collaboration, Security, Cloud, and Enterprise Networking portfolios? Your sales experience will enable you to assess customer needs through a discovery process that includes install base evaluation, digital transformation competencies, ambitious environment, and buying center requirements. You are able to translate this information into sales proposals and articulate the business benefits to a variety of customer partners. You also have experience in positioning these products to customers in the context of larger architecture-based sales engagements rather than product-centric pitches. Your attention to details and analytical skills will be necessary to your success as well as your ability to perform in a dynamic environment.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology and 10+ years working experience in a sales engineering, business or IT consulting position
  • MS/MBA strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco’s product portfolio (technical details, business benefits)
  • You have experience with Cisco’s ordering and quoting tools
  • You have a strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques
  • You will work in the construct of a global team across time zones
  • Strong social skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
