The purpose of this position is to provide management, oversight and support to the Enterprise Resiliency & Response program and provide leadership and business continuity (BC) expertise to business continuity planners and executives within the organization. A major focus will be quality assurance and testing of plans, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of business continuity plans for critical business  functions  in order to maintain continued operations, asset protection and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption. This includes exercising recovery plans and recovery teams using a variety of exercise styles and scenarios. Other key activities include coordinating BC efforts and acting as a subject matter expert; working with segment BC teams to develop, update, enhance, and monitor business continuity plans; and assisting in enhancing, formalizing and standardizing the business continuity planning process, including monitoring and measurement mechanisms.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and conduct business continuity exercises and subsequent exercise reports,  monitor for remediation  and certification of plans  
  • Analysis and preparation of key risk indicator reports, including operational data to identify and assess areas of existing and emerging business risks / losses
  • Quality review of  business impact analysis and BC Plans
  • Research, analysis, evaluation and reporting on the business continuity program
  • Participates with development of program objectives / strategies, timetables, and resource assessments / requirements
  • Ensures measurement tools are in place to evaluate effectiveness of program.  Interprets internal policies as they relate to programs
  • Develops reports and delivers presentations to management regarding recommendations related to programs
  • Develop communication, training and educational programs related to program outcomes
  • Ensures projects adhere to strict budget and timeframe constraints
  • Ensure internal & external best practices and learnings are incorporated into policies and practices to sustain ongoing risk readiness posture and policy compliance
  • Provide leadership as needed to the Event Management Team to facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution and follow-up on  incidents and issues, this will require being available for an on-call rotation
  • Ability to travel as required

Required Qualifications:

  • BS / BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in crisis management, business continuity (BC) and / or disaster recovery (DR) planning
  • Business continuity program experience a must or equivalent business operations experience.  Or  equivalent business operations experience
  • 4+ years project or program management experience
  • 2+ Proven knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery methodologies and principles, including current industry standards and practices
  • Intermediate Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability for on-call rotation 24/7 for 7 days once every 7 weeks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) and / or CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) are desirable certifications
  • Fluent in Spanish and / or Portuguese
