Garland Behavioral Hospital (GBH) is a 72 bed facility located inside Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Garland. We provide a broad range of services for Adult Psychiatric conditions.


Garland Behavioral Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Full time  Business Development Representative with a strong area of expertise in healthcare marketing to join our team in developing quality services consistent with our philosophy to serve Garland and the surrounding communities. Under the guidance of the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Representative will execute the strategic plan for Garland Behavioral Hospital’s growth, public relations efforts and referral source service & satisfaction within a specified geographic area.  This individual will be responsible for working autonomously and within a team while taking ownership for territory and hospital objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build brand awareness of Garland Behavioral Hospital as the premier mental health hospital in the city of Garland and surrounding areas. 
  • By performing this job to the highest ethical standards, educate referral sources, potential referral sources community partners and the general public about mental illness and the treatments for it.  As a facility, we operate to help our patients’ recovery and develop tools for living with mental illness and acting as a resource for their care providers. 
  • Partner with hospitals, therapists, primary care doctors, psychiatrists, local agencies and law enforcement providing vital input & helping to collaborate on an individual and departmental Plan of Action with specific focus on referral maximization, loss/service recovery, new account prospecting, diversification, public/community relations efforts and growing overall brand awareness.

Job Requirements

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results.

                      Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles highly preferred.

Licensure for State of Texas:  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Social Worker ( LBSW, LMSW),  Registered Nurse ( RN)  highly preferred

                                                  Must have a valid driver's license.
