Job Description

Business Development Coordinators are tasked with building referrals to Wyoming Behavioral Institute and working collaboratively to assure satisfaction with our hospital. The Business Development Coordinator implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing the highest level of customer service to assigned referral sources.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains new accounts and markets as directed by the Director of Business Development.

  • Maintains and lends customer support to designated number of referral source contacts per month.

  • Maintains current account information (via the customer profile), and update as required.

  • Maintains primary contact with all customer assigned accounts through personal visits, telephone calls and letters/mailers on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:   

  • Knowledge of basic business development concepts.
  • Knowledge of key internal/external health-care environments. 
  • Knowledge of computers and software programs. 
  • Demonstrates above average problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to build and maintain customer accounts.
  • Demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal customers. 
  • Demonstrates skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrates skill in telephone etiquette. 
  • Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to extract, interpret and communicate data from statistical reports.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience is required. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred. 
  • Must have a valid drivers' license and travel 50-70% of the time.
  • Must have the ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds.
