Role: Education Business Development Manager

What You'll Do

You will enable the digital agenda for the customer,
Seek to drive broad and deep discovery - creating multiple opportunities for cross-BU collaboration
Develop senior leadership and domain management team to transform customers' business and achieve their digital imperatives in Education industry
Work to hypothesize and evangelize outcomes with customer; proves hypotheses through project work with overall Service team
Create an atmosphere of innovation, operational excellence, collaboration, risk taking with accountability
Own and lead projects from conception through to completion
Increase cross-BU teamwork and coordination on accounts and projects
Lead customer engagement, coordinate aligned Sales resources including Solution Sales, Architect, Business Value Specialist, Program Manager, Services Sales, account team.
Work with Value Analysts to quantify both customer AND Cisco opportunity.

Who You'll Work With

As a Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Borderless Networks CSE organization, the leaders of the Direct Sales team, Cisco Corporate, Services, Partner Sales, other Architecture Sales teams, Marketing, Operations, Cisco Capital, Finance and Cisco's Senior Leadership Team.

Who You Are

You are resilient, flexible and agile with deep knowledge of the Education industry - trends, disruptions, competitive landscape, innovation, etc. You ideally have 5+ years in Technology sales or Consulting, with proven track record driving business outcomes within either industry or intimate knowledge of business operations and processes. Should have high visibility and contacts in industry.
* Experience guiding successful teams, strategic leadership, driving cross-team alignment and influence.
* Business Consulting Expertise - Must have a consultative solutions/business-value problem solving approach to work with C-Level and senior executive business leaders in the designated industry.
* Demonstrable experience as a passionate industry thought leader around mega technology trends pertinent for the vertical(s) (e.g., Business Analytics, IoT, Omni Channel, etc.)
* Ability to lead complexed project with IT background
* Prior experience working in competitive environments and competed successfully against strong market competition.
* Knowledge of the market, including industry drivers, competition, and leading industry strategies.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* Create and communicate a compelling vision to senior business executives, with an ability to leverage logic, experience, facts, and passion to influence others.
* BA/BS degree is required. An advanced degree from an accredited university is preferred.
