We currently have a career opportunity for a Business Development Manager on the Rite Aid team in Madison, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for achieving defined brand strategies, top line sales objectives, P&L management, and share goals, with Rite Aid. It is key for this position to work in a cross-functional relationship between Rite Aid, the Pfizer customer team, and the various internal partners.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



Working within the framework of a team and managing day-to-day activities including:







+ Attainment of Sales Budgets and Trade Spending Budgets = Deliver on Commitments



+ Accurate Sales Forecasting



+ Understand Customer/Brand Strategies and Develop/Execute Customer specific strategic Joint Business Plans with Strategic Initiatives, Tactics and KPIs



+ Identify and create Win-Win Solutions and Opportunities that address Customer, Consumer and PCH Needs



+ Develop and deliver effective persuasive sales presentations



+ Analyze Promotional Spending focused on Sales, Share and ROI



+ Create plans and value propositions leveraging multi-channel vehicles (Feature, Display, Loyalty Card Targeting, Shopper Marketing, Digital, Social, etc)



+ Generate and leverage insights to develop/execute strategic plans and solutions that influence decision makers externally and internally



+ Reconcile trade activities and spending in a timely manner



+ Monitor execution to ensure results are delivering on expectations



+ Team Player - work closely with team members, marketing, sales strategy, supply chain, etc...







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Bachelor's degree; MBA a Plus



+ Minimum of five years sales experience in a CPG environment with a major(national) retailer



+ Possess excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills



+ Ability to think strategically and apply/execute tactics.



+ Possess strong intra-personal skills to collaborate with multi-functional Team & HQ Functions



+ Ability to deliver on commitments demonstrated by promotions within same organization



+ Ability to communicate/deliver solutions with logic, impact and clarity



+ Possess a comprehensive knowledge of CPG industry



+ Ability to effectively penetrate organizations in order to develop working relationships



+ Ability to be fiscally responsible with trade budgets and spending practices



+ Possess retail sales experience



+ Possess Category Management or related analytical experience



+ Possess effective administration skills and time management skills



+ Ability to relocate



+ Ability to travel overnight



+ Possess a Valid driver's license

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS







+ Microsoft Application, SRS, RSI and Siebel access and navigation / applicable use, Internal Company Tools, On-line research efficiency, Computer, Handheld, Travel Software, Electronic Photo Imaging, File Sharing / Saving / Storing.



+ Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.



+ Working knowledge of Siebel & SRS



+ Strong Project Management skills.



+ Superior communication (verbal, listening, and written), organizational, time management and follow-up skills.



+ Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong initiative and discretion in handling confidential information.



+ Detail oriented and self-motivated.



+ Ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate with others.



+ Ability to effectively prioritize a heavy workload.



+ Willingness to do low level analyses with data



+ Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and handle multiple projects.
