What You'll Do

As the Business Development Operations Specialist, working within Deal Acceleration Team (DAT) EMEAR, you will drive and coordinate Advanced Services (AS) opportunities during the Propose and the Agree phases of the services sales process. Once assigned to such opportunity, you will identify and engage relevant Cisco’s stakeholders (Sales, Delivery, Business Development, and Technical Subject Matter Experts) from within the region to enable scoping and pricing of services matching the specific opportunity. You will also create customized services proposals and contracts (Statements of Work, SOW) matching the scoped services. Where appropriate, you will work directly with representatives of the legal department to have the contracts reviewed and approved. You will communicate with the involved parties to enable accelerated processing of the opportunity through the pre-sales phases and to promote transparency around the deal status.  


Main responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and monitor assigned opportunities throughout the entire Lead-to-Order (L2O) cycle, serving as primary point of contact
  • Provide process and status visibility through ongoing communications with the key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Sales/BDM to understand customer requirements and engage relevant Subject Matter Experts to define services scope and deliverables
  • Based on the defined scope and received inputs calculate the costs and suggested pricing for the services, advise on the optimal project milestone structure; liaise with the P&L owners to obtain relevant approvals
  • Create services proposals and draft services contracts (SOW)
  • Drive collaboration between the DAT and other stakeholders, including Sales, Delivery, Business Development, Legal and Finance to accelerate Cisco’s internal activities within the L2O cycle
  • Build professional relationships with the stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Conduct quality control of all deliverables
  • Be part of pipeline reviews with your stakeholders
  • Be the advocate of the implemented pre-sales process
  • Provide an ongoing and constructive inputs regarding the ongoing business to the management

As a member of Deal Acceleration Team, you will be assisting in pre-sales activities, driving communication between Sales, Delivery, Business Development, Legal, Finance and Technical SMEs to enable faster selling of Advanced Services to Cisco’s wide range of customers.

Who You Are

Minimum requirements:

  • Requires BA/BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent plus at least 5 years of related experience in IT industry
  • Good understanding of Sales and Lead to Order Process; pre-sales experience nice to have
  • Demonstrates experience in either of the following: project management, service delivery, business development or bid management
  • Strong project coordination skills
  • Strong business communication skills and writing skills
  • Cross functional leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities in a quickly evolving environment
  • Sense of urgency and ownership; self-motivation to take on new challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to take ownership, establish priorities and work independently
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Strong problem resolution and escalation management skills
  • English language full working proficiency is required; any additional European language is a plus
  • Familiarity with Cisco product and services portfolio nice to have
  • PMP, Prince2, ITIL or any other relevant certificate would be an asset
