The Ridge Behavioral Health
System is seeking a dynamic and talented Business
Located in Lexington, KY, the
heart of the Bluegrass, The Ridge Behavioral Health
System offers a healing environment that is reassuring to a
patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to
excellence, The Ridge Behavioral Health System is accredited by
the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as
a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health)
and chemical dependency (drug & alcohol rehabilitation) services
to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a
24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial
hospitalization services are provided on a six-day per week basis,
days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code
of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

operated by Universal Health Services.
The Business Development
Representative must operate within the framework of a
strategic marketing plan, must be able to target potential referral
sources in his/her assigned territory, and have the ability to
develop and sustain relationships with referral sources, patients and
their families, and the community at large. Requires the ability to
drive throughout the State of Kentucky (and adjoining states if
necessary) and market the behavioral healthcare services provided by
The Ridge BHS. Must be willing to spend up to 100% of his/her time on
the road. Must be able to communicate accurately with all
stakeholders – both internal and external. Must be able to
maintain confidential patient information. Has the capability to
conduct mobile assessment when needed or scheduled and/or as directed
by the Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited
• Provides mobile
assessments as requested. Manages the time request personally or by
securing support. Solicits mobile assessment opportunities determined
by bed availability or immediacy.

commitments, verifying call viability, and following-up on contacts
and referral grievances, assessment requests.
Incorporates COS techniques into selling and relationship
• Joins and participates in local
organizations that support efforts within particular target markets.
• Possesses the knowledge of insurance concepts, major
payers, current rates, and managed care issues affecting the hospital
degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
• At least one year
experience in marketing and behavioral healthcare is required.
