Saint Simons By-The-Sea Hospital is a 101 bed psychiatric and addictive disease hospital for adults and adolescents. We strive to provide quality mental health treatment and addiction treatment services in the area. Located on Saint Simons Island, Ga., Saint Simons By-The-Sea's serene island setting ensures privacy and anonymity, enabling the patient to concentrate on recovery. Our hospital is conveniently located within driving distance of Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, and other surrounding cities in the South Georgia and Northern Florida region. The hospital's comfortable, supportive environment helps put patients at ease. Saint Simons By-The-Sea's staff has extensive experience in the fields of addiction treatment, recovery, relapse prevention and mental health treatment.

Saint Simons By-The-Sea Hospital is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative, for the Jacksonville, FL market, who is responsible for growing patient census by consistently exploring the development of new referral sources and potential referral sources, maintaining and managing existing accounts, identifying referral source needs, and tailoring services to meet those needs.  Coordinates program focused monthly workshops, training programs, and seminars as needed.  Assists with the development of materials and activities promoting the hospital.  Analyzes referral trends and admissions data in an effort to develop marketing strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited too...

  • Provide liaison services between SSBTS and referral sources in order to satisfy referral source needs, i.e., admission criteria, problem-solving, tours, inservices/trainings, and conferences.
  • Determine potential needs and demands for services, regardless of whether they are currently provided by SSBTS.
  • Follow up on admissions and account activity.Problem-solve when necessary.
  • Continually monitor competitor information and services.
  • Implement and conduct pre-qualified sales calls/contacts (35-40 per week).
  • Attend and participate in business/referral development team meetings; submit weekly sales call reports, weekly activity schedules, and weekly expense reports.
  • Maintain records, reports, and statistics as needed.
  • Adhere to established facility and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and performance standards
  • Promote a positive work environment and positive guest relations.
  • Communicate referral source needs and information that would be helpful to the Admissions team.

Job Requirements

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in marketing, or related field, with at least two years experience in direct sales/marketing.
  • Must be able to focus on new lead generation, quality referral source development, as well as maintenance of current accounts.
  • Must have strong knowledge of referral development and demonstrate strength in account management processes.
  • Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on ethical principles.
  • Must have skills in trouble-shooting, flexibility, and prioritizing workload.
  • Must be able to collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion.
  • Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret professional information, data, marketing trends, and industry-related policy.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with appropriate endorsement.
