**Position Purpose**

To maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the Vice President & Global Head of WRO-SM through optimum management of general business operations associated with an international workforce comprising ~260 colleagues, contractors and vendors worldwide and an annual $~45M budget (~$24M SM; $21M translations). This global position works in conjunction with US, Latin America, European and Asia Pacific based regional and functional leads and stakeholders to ensure effective execution of role.

To drive business excellence and enable the achievement of WSR and WRO-SM vision and strategic direction and an optimum, innovative business model through driving results, change and communications relating to strategic and operational goals. To oversee organizational analytics and generate options that influence future strategy.

**Primary Responsibilities**

+ Partner with the Global Head and LT to generate and maintain the WRO SM strategic business plan, ensure clarity of deliverables and priorities relating to advancement of strategic and related operational goals - supporting others to drive business results associated with optimum operating model, people and talent management, budget, sourcing, and productivity across a global workforce.

+ Partner with Regional and Functional Leads to prepare and drive relevant and impactful periodic business reviews, actively share insights and facilitate specific actions to improve productivity and performance. Manage the interface among the various regions and functions, enabling and platform functions ensuring efforts are aligned to optimize business performance

+ Anticipate, identify, understand and engage in effective prioritization and ensure complex initiatives are completed to target. Lead assigned complex projects/activities spanning WSR, PEH GRA, WRO and SM stakeholders, ensuring optimum execution and successful business, financial and resource management. **Business and Financial Performance**

+ Drive business excellence and transparency through analytics and Key Performance Indicators, ensuring data and models both influence and initiate business decisions related to portfolio, process and resource efficiencies

+ Ensure detailed budget and forecasting oversight associated with >$45M annualized expenditure, management of multiple vendor relationships, internal cost centers, close collaboration with regional and global finance partners.

+ Monitor financial and vendor performance objectives, developing proposals and corrections when needed

+ Identify opportunities for synergies across and within regions and functions. **Internal/ External interfaces**

+ Assist with and coordinate resolution of requests from various Pfizer stakeholders, e.g., WROLT, SMLT members, PEH GRA, PCH, WSR and GCMC and International leaders in all regions, relevant external bodies (vendors, industry trade associations)

+ Interface with and engage key stakeholders (e.g. PGS, GPD, WSR-LT and PEH GRA LT stakeholders, other WRO line leaders and SM) to manage and coordinate operational and planning needs.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of / experience with strategic business planning and operations

+ Extensive business experience at required level to enable thorough understanding of the responsibilities associated with strategic management of a large international organization.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and adapt style seamlessly across multiple organizational levels and cultures. Listens carefully, interprets message content correctly, clarifies and confirms message, and using the appropriate medium, communicates the message clearly and precisely to the audience.

+ Ability to produce reports, prepare, organize and deliver presentations using appropriate tools and techniques, and taking an active role in meetings and discussions.

+ Possesses a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness, ability to work hard and well under pressure - able to mobilize resources and/or deliver outputs at short /no notice for ad-hoc urgent demands and operate as a clear decision maker.

+ Analytic mindset to develop effective business and competitive strategies for dealing with current and future industry trends.

+ Exercises foresight and judgment in making complex decisions. Acts independently on self-initiated projects, able to transform ambiguous situations/discussions into structured outcomes

+ Promotes innovation and takes appropriate risks to challenge the status quo

+ Demonstrated business acumen; strong organizational management skills, the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously; the ability to respond to tight timelines; as well as, the capability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, credible and discrete manner.

+ Adaptability / Flexibility: Responds to changing situations, setbacks, and differing ideas and actions in a positive manner, fostering the concept of different approaches and solutions that may be applied. **Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)**

+ B.A. or B.S required; MBA preferred.

+ Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment

+ Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal (verbal and written) skills

+ Relevant work experience with proven success against critical competencies below:

+ Successful management of operational budgets

+ strategic business planning within an international environment

+ leadership of communication/change programs and proven ability to execute change

+ demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, complemented by autonomous execution - strong project, time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
