The Security and Trust Organization (S&TO) is responsible for driving pervasive security across people, process, policy and technology to reduce and manage risk and exposure for Cisco, our employees, customers and partners. A unique to the industry organization, S&TO brings together the building blocks of enterprise security, trust, data protection and privacy to give Cisco value proposition for our customers. The focus of S&TO is to secure the business, enable differentiate value for our customers through trust and ensure the business velocity of Cisco by opening new business opportunities with embedded trust and security.

Who You'll Work With

The Trust Strategy Office (TSO) within S&TO is focused on enabling business velocity for Cisco by embedding security into the future of everything we do as a company. As Cisco evolves its business models and offerings, TSO supports the desired business outcomes without sacrificing security and privacy. The core tenants of this mission are embedding holistic security into IoT and ensuring security is a leading enabler of Country Digitization Acceleration.

Who You Are

TSO is currently looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual to support a variety of complex business integration programs and initiatives. Ideal candidates for this role are “utility players” who have experience working across multiple teams and functions and are hungry to grow, learn and lead. Some knowledge of Cisco business process and operations is a plus as is previous experience working across multiple initiatives with a variety of stakeholders simultaneously.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and coordinates completion of inter-departmental programs with a significant level of business complexity
  • Oversees key aspects of a program, such as defining requirements and resource needs, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress against commitments.
  • Identifies, analyzes, plans for, and responds to engagement risks.
  • Consults, communicates, and manages expectations with senior executive management and inter-department stakeholders on an on-going basis to ensure alignment of engagement goals and Cisco’s strategic business direction.
  • Summarizes and aggregates detailed information and prepares leadership for stakeholder interactions and decisions.
  • Balances stakeholder interests across risk assessment, response, planning and corrective action.
  • Works with stakeholders to understand the program vision and then executes in a timely fashion.

Candidates must have:

  • 3-5 years of experience of strong project management, negotiation and decision making skills.
  • Ability to balance quality of work with deadlines, to identify risk issues affecting work progress and to recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communications skills including strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent follow-through, flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment, works independently.
  • Experience leading teams, including virtual teams spanning cross-functional organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and business / data analysis is essential for success.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with business process improvement
  • Knowledge and/or experience with change management
  • PMP or similar project management certification strongly preferred.

 This position is ideal for a mid-level candidate with a proven track record who is looking to grow into a role with upward mobility and the ability to influence “up, down and sideways”.  Comfort with ambiguity and change are a must.
