**ROLE SUMMARY**







This position is for a Business Operations Coordinator for Pfizer's Centers for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI), responsible for the smooth running of the planning and operational activities that support CTI's extensive partnerships with academia, patient Foundations and the NIH.



The successful candidate thrives on delivering efficient and effective operational support, often working with internal and external stakeholders to help achieve team goals. He/she has a keen attention to detail and works collaboratively with senior level stakeholders, most notably across the CTI Leadership and Operations and Portfolio Management Teams, managing multiple concurrent activities of high complexity. He/she is also experienced working effectively with academic business and scientific partners to support the delivery of mutual goals.



The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to multitask, operate across global sites and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Skilled interpersonal and communication skills with an attention to detail are a must.



The candidate will also be expected to fully embrace and embody the entrepreneurial spirit and biotech-like culture, values and goals of CTI and contribute to creating an exciting, productive and scientifically rigorous working environment.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







The CTI Business Operations Coordinator will be responsible for providing efficient, effective and congenial business process support for the team that manages CTI's extensive internal and external partnerships, through a range of activities including:







+ Primary point contact for Pfizer's Business Technology team, managing CTI's external-facing website and web-based application, ensuring effective proposal submission and review and designing and enabling metrics reporting to inform process improvements



+ Tracking CTI's partnering activities, including proposal submissions and reviews, contract filing and management



+ In collaboration with the CTI project and project management teams, support new project starts by providing welcome packs to, and facilitating timely training of external partners



+ Ensuring CTI's external partners have appropriate access to Pfizer information systems, tools, reagents and other supplies



+ Maintaining up-to-date records of partnering data and leading associated analytics



+ Providing support to CTI's Project Management team in the management of our financial processes eg tracking POs and invoice payments



+ Compliance Point of Contact, expert in and overseeing all CTI's compliance-related activities and ensuring external transactions adhere to current Pfizer expectations (incl. GIDM, P2L training, Biobook, Sunshine Act, Engage, FCPA etc)



+ Matrixed leadership of a team of administrative staff to: coordinate with BT to ensure timely onboarding and off-boarding of external scientific collaborators; maintain updated partnering contact lists; and plan for and support Leadership meetings, Joint Steering Committee meetings, proposal review meetings etc







**QUALIFICATIONS**







Required:







+ Bachelors (BS/BA) degree or equivalent in Life Sciences



+ 3-5 years experience in a pharma and/or academic business environment including 2+ years leading partnering support activities (eg relationship management, budget management, analytics, compliance reporting etc)



+ Strong understanding of both pharma industry and scientific academic research environments



+ Outstanding organizational skills, with high levels of energy and ability to multi-task and problem-solve



+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



+ Confident in ability to interact with professionalism with senior management



+ Ability to influence without direct authority



+ Experience using analytical and visualization tools, excellent computer literacy



+ Ability to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement



+ Familiarity with Pfizer organization and processes, including an in depth understanding of Pfizer's alliance activities, processes and practices and business and reporting systems, (including, but not limited to Cognos, RAPID, SAP, Ariba, Business Objects etc)



+ Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a track record of on-time delivery in complex and often ambiguous situations and within tight timelines







Preferred:







+ Advanced business degree or equivalent



+ Experience managing industry-academic alliances across a range of projects and/or institutions
