Business Operations Manager -  Strategy & Planning Manager

What You’ll Do

Cisco is on the hunt for a strategic leader of special projects, initiatives, and transformation programs for the Global Service Provider (GSP) business entity in EMEAR. This challenging role will be responsible for driving near term execution and leading innovative initiatives. As the Strategy & Planning Lead, you will be uniquely positioned within the team to gain intimate knowledge of day to day operations of the business.  

Your role will be to manage and influence stakeholders across theatre roles and functions. On a daily basis you will be a key player in the strategy of services delivery (including Technical and Global Delivery organizations), Sales and Finance portfolio. You will build strong strategic partnerships and joint strategies for the theatre/function including fiscal and long term planning.

Responsibilities include managing governance of the regions leadership team, ensuring effective delivery of regional initiatives. You will be a master and data analysis and ensure targeted data and metrics available for clear/crisp accountability and streamlined decision making, ad hoc analysis and decision support for strategic initiatives.

Who You'll Work With

This exciting role reports to the Advanced Services Strategy and Planning Lead with a dotted line reporting to the Senior Director GSP EMEAR Advanced Services leader.

You will be partnering with the segment team and Operations colleagues to ensure initiatives can be implemented in the business process and successfully executed

Who You Are

You’ll be known for your strategic leadership and have experience in managing special projects, initiatives, and transformation programs for GSP EMEAR.

You will have an MBA or equivalent business and operations expertise. You will leverage communication vehicles and frameworks to articulate the results, business value and organizational effectiveness of the segment. Ensure the theatre/function story is understood by higher level leaders in sales and delivery.

You’ll have executive presence and come from a management consulting background. You will build sufficient executive relationship with other VPs (AS and others) to be able step in as needed for GSP EMEAR leader.

Skills Required:

·         Specialized knowledge and expertise in service provider industry. Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives

 

  • Advanced skills with spreadsheets, databases, and other reporting tools and processes that support conducting analysis
  • Strategy management consulting experience preferred. Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions; has the ability to evaluate and recommend alternative solutions based on business needs and advanced knowledge of the external marketplace
  • ommunication skills, competent in explaining difficult concepts and negotiating with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • of basic accounting and P&L management principles
  • MBA qualification required
