Business & Strategy Operations Manager:

What You'll Do

As the Business Operations Manager, you will be accountable for driving cross-functional operations, process and program management, and business reporting for the Americas Architectures Sales team.  You will manage requests, exciting projects, innovative programs, and dynamic events using analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.

You will act as a resource for our stakeholders to understand requirements and business needs, and take a broad perspective to solve complex problems.  You will assist with refinement of the operational cadence around an ever-changing sales environment to drive increased efficiencies, alignment and agility for our team.

In addition, you will lead and help others to solve issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trends.  In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside senior sales leaders on programs and initiatives that not only move the Americas business, but have a global impact for our partners, stakeholders and customers.

Who You'll Work With

The Americas Architectures Sales team is passionate about enabling our customer’s digital journey and solving problems with innovative technology. 

You will have the opportunity to join a team that works across architectures in a highly dynamic environment.  You will work closely with the Architecture Sales support team to drive operational alignment, understand current and changing business requirements, and identify appropriate metrics to measure against our vision of success.

You will collaborate with team members, Americas Sales leadership, field sellers, and internal partners from marketing, Americas Partner Organization, Services, Finance and HR. 

Who You Are

You can communicates difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view; have excellent project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple related and/or large initiatives by leading and leveraging cross functional team and resources.  You are able to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services, communicate complex ideas, and anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.

You've got the experience in business operations, delivery of quarterly, annual and long-term plans, sales enablement, and key business functions such as sales forecasting, quarterly business reviews, internal and customer events, budgeting and execution of purchase orders and procurement. 

You like to connect the dots for team members by listening and asking questions.  You can be agile and have the ability to anticipate future operational and reporting needs.  You are passionate about Cisco’s technology and have the ability to articulate what needs to be done within a complex environment.  You will keep team members accountable and celebrate collaborative success.

The ideal candidate will be able to handle complex situations and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including balancing progress on long-term projects with the urgency of immediate operational demands. Additionally, the candidate will need to possess:

  • Strong leadership, people management, project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a strong level of sustainable partnership at all levels of the organization.
  • Possess strong organizational skills allowing to manage and prioritize large number of commitments and deadlines Superior business communications (written, verbal, and graphical)
  • Familiarity with Tableau, SFDC, Cisco Ready, MBR and Cisco goaling systems (OIC, CGI) are an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing requirements from various teams and individuals, keeping all apprised of status in sufficient time to adjust plans if needed rather than compromise results
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure, tight deadlines, and work with highly passionate individuals
  • Capacity to identify areas of opportunities to improve change management processes and take the initiative to implement them.
  • Ability to develop plans and lead meetings that set strategy, objectives, and projects on complex business problems.
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, communicate those results in a timely and effective manner, combined with the ability to know when to bring in management to clarify or support efforts.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and sensitivity to confidential documents, issues, and information
  • Requires BA/BS (Masters degree preferred) in relevant field/area and business knowledge in Cisco, Sales, Operations.
