Description

Cox Communications is searching for a Process Analyst II to help support the Outside Plant Operations team here in Atlanta. You will be responsible for consulting with internal and external customers to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes. You will work to perform research and fact-finding to determine business requirements and specifications for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support and systems.  You will communicate these processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that applications accurately meet business users’ goals.

You may also direct outside plant construction research initiatives moving from the business concept stage through initiative direction, definition, execution and support.  You will also be responsible for various levels of communication and change management activities including status reports, collision calendars, end user documentation, recurring newsletters and any other communications deemed necessary for the position.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 

  • Develop process documentation, training materials and communication drafts and program launch strategies to provide targeted and effective information to users
  • Serves as a subject matter expert between assigned business unit(s) and outside plant organization; consults with business unit clients on projects. Identifies and recommends areas for process or cost improvements.
  • Translates requests from the business into conceptual solutions that can be technically designed and developed
  • Proactively understands customer’s business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business
  • Manages the development and maintenance of relevant process models for assigned business unit(s), including context (data flow) diagrams, work flow models, and technology models
  • Executes approved change management projects for assigned business units including development of business requirements and justification, analysis of potential solutions, and preparation of appropriate project plan
  • Ensures that the design and integration of customer solutions with Outside Plant Construction and business partners leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology
  • Focuses on developing and improving business processes, assisting with the development of metrics for technology and business organizations
  • Conducts business requirements reviews and formulates logical statements of business requirements; will gather business requirements
  • Uses system process analysis tools and methods to analyze and document business processes and identify improvement opportunities to streamline and automate processes and functions; identifies/documents how applications/systems interact to support business processes;
  • May produce reports, analyze data and develop business cases
  • Negotiates commitments by facilitating the communication between business unit(s) and Outside Plant Operations from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Writes user documentation based on functional requirements
  • Creates and delivers training and development programs to end-users 
  • Creates and manages communications for OSP teams, Regions, and other functional groups


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 3 years of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management, Engineering, Technical Operations) or academic equivalent training or projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, planning, prioritization and meeting management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information


Preferred:
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. Business, Engineering, Information Technology)
  • Highly Preferred- 5 or more years of experience in Technology or Construction field experience 
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified 
  • Communications and Change Management experience
