IT Business Relationship Manager, Global Payroll & Workforce Management

The Information Technology (IT) Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for Global Payroll & Workforce Management is the face of IT to the Payroll and Workforce Management business functions. They will be responsible for helping to shape, manage and prioritize demand, and ensure that IT services and solutions meet or exceed business needs. The successful candidate for this role has expertise in payroll and workforce management solutions and is a proven leader with excellent relationship management, collaboration and demand shaping experience.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage change requests(CR) from business partners for enhancements to existing Payroll and Workforce Management solutions while ensuring business requirements are clearly documented
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure alignment on business priorities
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business, IT key stakeholders and system/infrastructure owners to define business, user, functional/non-functional, usability, performance, operational, data recovery, security and internationalization requirements
  • Perform analysis of business and technology requirements related to Payroll and Workforce Management processes
  • Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements
  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Payroll and Workforce Management processes and systems to develop strategies for improving or further leveraging technology solutions to meet business needs and fill gaps in existing solutions
  • Facilitate and actively participate in the evaluation of vendor software solutions targeted for implementation and or integration into existing IT/Business landscape including strategic applications, tools, and utilities and assist with project estimations
  • Participate in cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for Payroll and Workforce Management solutions to aid management in making business decisions
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and adhere to company security policies
  • Manage Third Party Security Risk Assessments for new vendor solutions to ensure they are in compliance with PepsiCo security standards
  • Research and identify new enabling technologies based on business requirements


Required Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science or related field of study and 10 years of experience working as a Business Relationship Manager or performing similar job responsibilities
  • 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing company
  • 10 years' experience working with SAP Payroll solutions including global payroll
  • 10 years' experience working with all modules in a Workforce Management solution including, Time & Labor, Attendance, Scheduling and Activities
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization in order to persuade and influence decision making of key business and IT stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with IT, vendor and business teams working at remote locations
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture
  • Stays up-to-date with technology and industry trends by proactively participating in training, self-study, conferences, webcasts, user group participation, reading or other relevant means
  • Provide mentoring and training to less experienced team members; helping to integrate them into the department
