Job Details

**Position Purpose:**

The Buyer planner role with the supply planning function participates in all functions related to planning & procurement beginning with analyzing of requirements, ordering, negotiating lead times , managing materials scheduling, purchase order maintenance and close-out in ERP system , vendor relationships (internal and external), and warranties.

**Primary Duties:**

+ Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to plan and execute purchase orders and others if required.

+ Contact all suppliers and follow up all direct materials purchase orders, effectively ensure all orders meets due dates and quantities as required.

+ Analyze and evaluate suppliers and potential suppliers to gain the best quality and delivery date of purchased materials consistent with required standards.

+ Analyze and understanding the requirements to meets and complies with inventory of stock required and shelf life dates to achieve supply chain planning requirements.

+ Ensure that all incoming materials are released in a timely manner that won't impact production scheduling.

+ Coordinate with QC to make sure that materials available in stock are conforming for future use (6-month forward look).

+ Prepare, report, and communicate inventory measurement and manage metrics to track overall success and effectiveness on a weekly and monthly basis.

+ Communicate with management, finance, warehouse and manufacturing operations functions within the organization to ensure all department requirements are met in a timely manner according to the master schedule.

+ Participate in continual process improvement focusing on supply chain.

+ Maintain documentation and standard operating procedure (SOP).

+ Ensure that all supply channels are conforming to quality requirements.

+ Prepare periodic supplier evaluation reports to ensure that suppliers are meeting Pfizer standards & requirements. Supplier evaluation is a crucial element of supplier strategic review to ensure consistent flow of materials from supplier side.

**Key outputs include:**

+ Compliance: deviations, CAPA, Change Control, Procedures, & Training.

+ Supply: in stock performance of materials.

+ Planning: Inventory management for all materials.

**Technical Skills:**

+ Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing site

+ Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies


+ Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business discipline.

**Knowledge & Experience:**

+ At least 5 years directly related experience in pharmaceutical operations.

+ Understanding of GMPs and compliance in the pharma industry

+ Business acumen to operate within a large multi-national company

+ Knowledge of site operational activities

+ Strong knowledge of and commitment to Quality and EHS

+ Leadership Skills:

+ Understanding of pharma commercial business

+ Analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem solving skills are a must.
