We currently have several Intake Counselor/Clinician positions available for our three hospital campuses in the greater Puget Sound area and would like to connect with the area’s finest behavioral health professionals.


The Intake Clinician is responsible for responding to admission referrals and other requests for services and information. The Intake Clinician also provides general support to UR and Social Services under the direction of the Lead Clinician and the Director of Assessment & Referral.


Job Requirements


Education:  Master’s Degree in social work, mental health or a related field or RN.

Experience:  A minimum of two (2) years experience in social work or a mental health setting.

Additional Requirements: Washington State RN, Licensed behavioral health counselor/MSW, or Licensed Counselor/MSW Associate or equivalent degree.

CPR, 1st Aid, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation certification.

Fairfax Behavioral Health provides inpatient services to adults, children and older adults with acute psychological, emotional and behavioral health issues. Our inter-disciplinary clinical staff works closely with patients, families and community professionals to develop safe, effective treatment to stabilize the patient as quickly as possible. Our therapeutic programming includes medication evaluation and management, group therapy, family involvement and individual counseling.

Fairfax Behavioral Health operates a 157-bed, stand-alone psychiatric hospital, located in Kirkland, WA; composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders (concurrent mental illness and substance abuse issues), as well as detoxification services for both adolescents and adults.

Fairfax also operates a 30-bed adult general psychiatric unit, located in Everett, WA on the seventh floor of the Providence Medical Center’s Pacific campus, as well as, a 34-bed unit on the campus of Evergreen Health Monroe. Fairfax cares for both voluntarily admitted and involuntarily committed patients at all locations.
