Fairfax Behavioral Health is a 220 bed licensed bed facility providing psychiatric and dual disorders treatment for adolescents and adults as well as three alternative school programs and CD services through Fairfax Behavioral Health's own Northwest School of Innovative Learning (NWSOIL). The Kirkland hospital is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the Eastside of Seattle
The Case Manager working within a bio-psychosocial model, provides the following social services functions: leader in treatment planning, psycho-social assessment, basic consultation, information on mental health issues, psycho-education, complete specialized clinical social work services for clients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short term supportive family and individual therapy, group therapy and discharge planning. The Case Manager utilizes evidence based practice in assisting clients achieve their optimal level of mental and emotional health.
Education: Master’s degree from an
accredited college or university in Social Work preferred; mental
health field required.
Additional Requirements: Strongly preferred for the employee be licensed in the state of Washington as a Social Worker, or related mental health field. Full licensure must be achieved with two years of employment and group supervision for licensure may also be available. Employee must be available to work weekend rotations. Fairfax will assist in obtaining CPR, first aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certification within the hospital orientation cycle prior to official release to position.
