Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Cashiering Reconciliation Specialist is to work in conjunction with the Cashiering Manager to resolve electronic remittance balances, overpayment payer inventories and analyze trends with the insurance payers. Essential Job Duties: 1. Analyze forwarding balance and overpayment inventories. 2. Receives and posts all types of insurance payments. 3. Investigates the source of unidentified payments to ensure they are applied to appropriate accounts 4. Establish and build relationships with major payer representatives at third party insurance companies. 5. Support CBO in communication and interaction with key payer contacts towards resolution of electronic remittances. 6. Other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements
The following are the job requirements for the Cashiering Reconciliation Specialist position: 1. High school degree or equivalent is required. 2. Must work effectively with other employees, patients, insurance companies and other outside parties. 3. Proactive, assertive and articulates knowledge and understanding of payer claims. 4. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. 5. Customer focused, providing service consistently exceeding expectations to both internal and external customers. 6. Proficient in Microsoft office applications (esp. Excel), 10 key and others as required. 7. Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize needs and manage resources with understanding of rules and regulations regarding overpayments and forwarding balances is a must. 8. 1-3 years of working in cash posting in a multi-facility healthcare business office setting is required.
