What You'll Do

We are seeking a Global Category and Supplier Manager within our Global Procurement Services Organization.


We are global business partners committed to providing our clients and suppliers value-based procurement outcomes. We do this through analytics-based decision support, digital innovation, supplier diversity, and risk management. We serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production, indirect suppliers/goods and services globally.

  • You will support the development of a Category Strategy including savings and CSAT targets, internal client relationship management, sourcing, supplier management.
  • You will directly execute and support the implementation of the Category Strategy. You will remain aware of industry trends and innovations and incorporate for Cisco's benefit.
  • You will work closely with the Operations Teams to continuously monitor and adapt plans based on data.
  • You will negotiate pricing and contracts with assigned suppliers/partners, as well as handle critical issues to ensure the supply continuity of Contingent Services.

Who You Will Work With

You will be part of a Global Procurement Team responsible for Contingent Labor sourcing for the IT organization. This team translates Cisco's contingent labor needs into solutions for our business clients. You will lead the relationship with internal clients and suppliers.


Who You Are

You are highly collaborative and have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority. You have a strong business acumen and can anticipate impacts of decisions and actions downstream and adjust accordingly. Your deep understanding of labor market trends including talent cloud and the sharing economy is critical. Your Digital Skills include: Cost Accounting and Operations Service Metrics Framework (OaaS), Continuous Delivery, Digital Process Improvement, Analytics and Data Science, Effective Communications based on Data with familiarity with Cognitive and AI platforms. Proficiency with Fieldglass is desired.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree, masters degree preferred
  • 10-15+ Years of Procurement & Supply Chain Management Experience.
  • Ability to utilize Six Sigma, or other recognized Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate a Category/Commodity Strategy including KPIs and Savings targets and successfully lead to execution.
  • E2E Supply Chain Understanding and Perspective.
