Position Summary


Position Description

The Category Manager, Fine Jewelry is responsible for ensuring their category has a market-leading assortment, excellent financial performance and a great shopper experience across all of Walmart’s Ecommerce brands – and (and whatever other brands join our family!). Your goal is to create the ultimate online destination for customers who turn to and first.

  • Creates, manages, and executes new feature and product development roadmaps

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in the merchandising/services area and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

  • Ensures the alignment of multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of business objectives

  • Manages products, services, and operations (for example, store execution, customer service, fulfillment timeliness, service level agreement (SLA) compliance) for assigned business areas

  • Manages the placement of products and services with drop-ship vendors (DSVs)

  • Manages the product or service assortment and delivery channels

  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, with 5 – 7 years of relevant professional experience within an e-commerce or retail merchandising, category management or business development.

  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce merchandising landscape

  • Previous Jewelry and/or Fashion experience

  • Strong understanding of site merchandising and marketing levers

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to build a data-driven strategic business plan with tangible execution steps

  • Demonstrated ability to form long-term strategic business relationships, and comfort engaging with senior executives

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities simultaneously, work independently, and drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and high attention to detail

  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge of online/offline retail or consumer internet technologies preferred

  • Experience in inspiring and managing teams
