<b>What You'll Do</b>
This role is responsible for leading Category Strategy and Supplier Management and Development in key Business Services market segments. In the area of Category Strategy this individual will apply market and industry expertise to create and manage a global procurement plan of record, supplier capabilities map, supply base segmentation model, and clear pipeline for ongoing savings opportunities. As a supplier Manager, this individual will manage the ongoing working relationships between Cisco business units and suppliers focusing on aligning supplier capabilities with client requirements and developing the suppliers¹ abilities to create new value for Cisco. Part of this will be in establishing and maintaining complex-working relationships that leverage Cisco¹s position in obtaining optimum pricing and terms for Cisco that maximize ROI and highlight TCO. Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” and traditional enterprise data sources to generate actionable insights, predictive models and business function supplier solutions.
- Manage the day to day relationship with external Suppliers
- Develops and executes governance models that drive innovation, value and competitive advantage

- Lead Strategic Sourcing activities
- Conduct market research and benchmarking
- Delivering year-over-year cost reduction for specified categories and suppliers
- Influence compliance through preferred suppliers for specified categories
<b>Who You'll Work With</b>
This individual also works closely with teams to develop and employ strategic sourcing strategies designed to ensure an alignment between Cisco technology showcases and emerging supplier technologies. Supervises the negotiation of pricing, contractual terms and conditions, and SLAs (Service Level Agreements). Oversees the creation and distribution of RFx offerings. Establishes benchmarks, best practices, policies, and procedures used to manage the ongoing interaction between Cisco, its IT suppliers, and key Cisco stakeholders. Interacts with corporate officers both Cisco and third party.
<b>Who You Are</b>
Your Core Competencies include: Supplier management, Supplier development, Category management, and Strategy sourcing / RFP Process. You are able to conduct statistical analysis on data and accurately interpret the results. You have the ability to lay common sense and actual business wisdom over the top of the resulting analyses specific to the business function to guide the recommendation. Experience with Contract Negotiations, Financial analysis, Industry analysis, and Relationship Management. You will have xxcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; the ability to distill complexity and present and explain the data and insights in simple and easy-to-understand business terms.
- Bachelor¹s Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years prior work in sourcing, category management or supplier development / management
- Understanding of Services Industry
- Documented results of year-over-year cost savings
- Global experience a plus
