    Sodexo currently has a job available for a Chef Manager to join our Food Service Team at Tabitha Nursing and Rehab, in Lincoln, NE. This position will report directly to the Executive Chef and works closely with the management team on menu development, resident relations, employee training, and innovative dining activities at this outstanding account

     

     

    The Chef Manager will work as a Sous Chef to our experienced Executive Chef and professional culinary team create a wide variety of appetizing meals for the main campus ran by Tabitha Nursing and Rehab. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a culinary degree or experience who is at the beginning of their career. A Certified Dietary Management certification is required and must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire; all cost are reimbursable upon proof of completion and certification.

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;
    • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
    • manage food costing, controls and compliance;
    • develop menus and manage inventory;
    • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
    • have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees;
    • have a passion for food and innovation;
    • have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and
    • knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.

     

    The ideal candidate has:

    • a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;
    • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;
    • previous experience working in a high volume facility; and
    • strong management skills.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

    Key Duties
    - Executes the culinary function.
    - Customer & Client satisfaction.
    - Handles administrative functions.
     


     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
    Basic Management Experience - 1 year
